Dear Wolfspeed Team,

My name is Luca Krause and I am an EV Researcher at Ford Motor Company in Brazil. We are currently working on enhancing our expertise in EMC analysis for power electronics devices, and we are interested in using your CRD-22AD12N (AC/DC) converter reference design as a primer for this purpose. We believe it could be an excellent learning platform.

To aid in our analysis, we are interested in Electromagnetic Emissions Data for this product. We are looking for conducted and radiated emissions data, ideally measured according to an industry standard (e.g., CISPR, FCC). Information regarding the test setup (e.g., antenna, cable lengths, grounding) would also be extremely valuable.

Our objective is to use this measured data as a benchmark for our simulations. We plan to model the reference design in electromagnetic simulation software and aim to reproduce the emission results. This exercise will be invaluable in deepening our understanding of the electromagnetic behavior of such design and honing our simulation skills.

Could you please share this data with us if it's available? Please also inform us of any associated usage restrictions.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your reply.

    Hello Luca

    Thanks for reaching out.

We haven't done any EMI testing with CRD-22AD12N and hence, do not have any Conducted/Radiated EMI data to share on that.

Although, we have done pre-compliance conducted EMI testing in our lab on another reference design CRD-25BDA6512N-K which a 3-phase 3-level bi-directional converter. For this design, we designed and optimised an additional plug-in EMI filter board which allowed us to optimise and do the EMI testing with different filter components without disturbing the converter board. If you plan to research different filter topologies and filter components, EMI testing with CRD-22AD12N could be very inconvenient as it's not easy to change filter components onboard.

For EMI testing of CRD-25BDA6512N-K , you can check out our application note under Document Library on our website or you can find it here. In addition, you can check out this article on our website, discussing EMI topic with power modules.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
