Coolant system for CRD300DA12E-XM3

Greetings, In the data-sheet I found that it is necessary to ensure the following during operation:
"A liquid coolant system is necessary to operate the reference design with any load"
- That it is necessary to ensure a flow of 12 L/min at a power of 300kW.
Accordingly, I have a few questions that I hope you can help me with
1. is it necessary to have cooling when working with powers below 20 kW?
2. Can we work with a flow rate of less than 12 L/min if we will not exceed the power of 230 kW in any operating mode?
3. Do you have any recommended cooling system that you offer with said inverter?
Thank you for your time and answers.

Hello Aleksandar_ETF_UB,
Thank you for your interest in this product. I addressed your questions individually below.
- We always recommend cooling the system, regardless of the power level. The system was designed with the expectation that cooling would be flowing through it so unexpected behavior could be observed without any cooling. Furthermore, the entire reference design is optimized for much higher power levels, and thus it is recommended to operate it at higher power levels for better performance.
- We recommend operating with a 12 L/min flow rate since we are confident in system operation at this flow rate. If other flow rates are adopted, we recommend using a value as close to 12 L/min as possible. Assuming you have a flow rate close to 12 L/min, you should be okay with a de-rated power rating, as you indicated.
- For internal testing, we use the Mokon Duratherm DR and the Julabo SC10000w chillers. These chillers work for system commissioning and laboratory testing.
Thanks,
Chris N.
