Hi

My Customer has question.
Please cooperate me.

In the case of IGBTs, if the pulse width is narrow, ringing will occur in the diode and damage will occur, so there is a restriction on the minimum pulse width. Is there a minimum pulse width restriction for the ECB2R1M12YM3?

Thank you for your question. In inverter operation, there will be added current distortion around current zero-crossing (very narrow pulse width) caused by dead-time for complementary switches. This distortion may cause switching voltage overshoot to go beyond the device rating. Therefore, the minimum pulse width needs to be tuned based on the modulation strategy of the inverter, the dead time for complementary switches and the switching voltage overshoot of the devices.
