Inquiry on the Source of Parasitic Inductance Parameters in Wolfspeed LTspice Module Models
Dear Wolfspeed Technical Support Team,
Hello,
I am currently using Wolfspeed LTspice power module SPICE models (PRD-07913) for switching transient and layout-related analysis.
I understand from the documentation that the package-level models include detailed parasitic elements, and that these parameters are intended to represent the internal module parasitics.
However, I could not find a description of the data source for these parasitic inductance values in the official models. At a high level, could you please clarify whether the default parasitic parameters in the LTspice power module models are obtained mainly from:
- 3D electromagnetic simulations of the module package (for example, Q3D or similar tools),
- Experimental measurements using dedicated test fixtures on physical modules.
I am not requesting specific parameter values or proprietary modeling details. Understanding whether the internal parasitic parameters are primarily simulation-based or measurement-based would be very helpful for assessing model applicability and for aligning the model with our system-level parasitics.
Thank you very much for your time and support.
Best regards,
jlayf
