does the crd300da12E module have the ability to develop my own software on it or does it come preloaded. If the capability exists to develop my own code , can you provide the details on how to get code loaded onto the module

    Hello dondon,

    The CRD300DA12E-XM3 comes pre-loaded with basic firmware to run the inverter with open-loop sine pulse-width modulation (SPWM). However, the design uses a general-purpose controller from Texas Instruments (LAUNCHXL-F28379D) which can easily be loaded with custom firmware. Many users like to load custom firmware to test advanced control schemes or to integrate the reference design into a larger system. The default firmware loaded on the unit can be used as a starting point for any customization that you want to add. The firmware is available for download from the landing page under the "Download Firmware and GUI" link shown below. The download includes the Code Composer Studio project and a Python GUI to interface with the design in real time via CAN. The user guide for the design provides details on how to program the board.
