Hi!

We are currently using the Wolfspeed 25kW three-phase inverter for motor control testing and have encountered an issue with signal distortion—particularly at higher DC bus voltages.

Could you please let us know if you have experience testing this inverter for motor control applications? If so, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share details on how the inverter, power supply, and resolver were configured in your setup.

Additionally, if available, could you kindly share a photo or diagram of your test setup for reference?

    Hello Ujala_MG,

We tested this inverter with a fixed R-L load in a recirculating setup. The test configuration is shown below, and more information can be found in Section 5.3 of the user guide. The setup used open-loop sine pulse-width modulation (SPWM) and was evaluated at various power levels. A resolver was not used during this testing.

    Thanks,

    Chris N.

Thank you for the information. Can you please let me know, what is the maximum power you have tested this inverter and at what DC link voltage and phase current?

    Hello Ujala_MG,

We have tested this system to full power at 800 VDC and 30 Arms. I provided experimental efficiency sweeps at various switching frequencies below.

    Thanks,

    Chris N.
