CGD1700HB2P-BM2 positive LDO

Hello,

I am working with CGD1700HB2P-BM-REV01 gate driver evaluation board and I am interested in adding regulate positive LDO. I see that there are unpopolated places UT6 and UT7. The user guide PRD-09753: 62mm Gate Driver User Guide | Wolfspeed doesn't state anything for adding positive LDO, just negative LDO.

If you could please elaborate if TPS7A4901DRBT positive LDO is suitable for regulating to +18 V from MGJ2D122005SC output.

The CGD1700HB2P-BM gate driver was designed to directly use the positive rail output of the DC/DC converters, so no LDO was necessary for the positive rail. To operate with +18V, you could use a +18V DC/DC converter such as the Murata MGJ2D121805SC which outputs +18V/-5V from a +12V input in the same footprint. Alternatively, you could switch to a different Wolfspeed gate driver such as the CGD1700HB2M-UNA-R2 which has an output voltage of +18V by default and includes positive and negative rail LDOs for further tuning of the output voltage.
