Maximum Thermal Resistance

Hi Team,

In the datasheet of discrete MOSFETs, the typical Rth value is specified. What about the Rth,max? Is there a typical percentual adder? What is the Rth,max e.g. for C3M0032120J1?

Hello Urvi,

Unfortunately there is no a fixed percentual adder because different die size and package will have different ratio. Rth will depend on both area and thickness of each layer in package and both of these factors vary differently for every package. We have seen the variation 5%-15%.

That is why we recommend to have 20% temperature margin.
