About recovery loss of C3M0016120K

Hi support member,

I think that Eon and Eoff described in the data sheet are switching losses only for the switching C3M0016120K itself.

I have question.

Q1

Isn't the value of the recovery loss Err that occurs in the switching pair arm (off arm) disclosed?

Q2

Is the value of Err for the arm included in the value of Eon?

Q3

Is it something that can be read from the characteristic graph described in the data sheet?

Best regard.

    Hi MaruOkada,

    Thanks for your attention!

From my concern, the reverse recovery loss happening depends on the topology and control mode. In ZCS mode, there is no reverse recovery loss. But for hard switching cases, there will be reverse recovery loss. For another question, the Eon don’t include Err value. You can find some parameters about body diode. May I know your detailed requirements, like topology and specs? If you want get the a comprehensive loss analysis, we have the speedfit platform that can get a quick results.
