Question about CRD-06600FF10N 6.6 kW BI-DIRECTIONAL EV ON-BOARD CHARGER.
Hi support member,
I have a question About Application Note CRD-06600FF10N 6.6 kW BI-DIRECTIONAL EV ON-BOARD CHARGER.
I have attached question about circuit around the gate and power supply circuit.
About circuit around the gate question is,
what the role of passive parts?
and Is there any effect such as noise reduction
About power supply circuit question is,
why chose the aluminum electrolytic capacitor?
and Is it possible to reduce noise?
Customer project is in progress.
Could you check it urgent?
Best regards.

what the role of passive parts? A: they are zeners for clamping, bleeding R, bypassing C.
and Is there any effect such as noise reduction. A: Yes
About power supply circuit question is,
why chose the aluminum electrolytic capacitor? A: low cost, small size
and Is it possible to reduce noise? A: it is possible. you can also use ceramic

Hi FrankWei,
Thank you very much for your answer.
I have a question about the answer.
Your answer :
"what the role of passive parts? A: they are zeners for clamping, bleeding R, bypassing C."
Questuion:
Q1
What does the diode clamp to?
Is it clamped with a diode so as not to overvoltage the gate voltage?
Q2
What does the capacitor bypass for?
Your answer :
"and Is it possible to reduce noise? A: it is possible. you can also use ceramic"
Questuion:
Which of the electrolytic capacitors and ceramic capacitors has the noise reduce effect?
Best regards.

Q1
What does the diode clamp to?
Is it clamped with a diode so as not to overvoltage the gate voltage?
A: it is clamped with a zener so as not to overvoltage the gate voltage.
Q2
What does the capacitor bypass for?
A: bypassing the high frequency current to reduce Vgs spike
Your answer :
"and Is it possible to reduce noise? A: it is possible. you can also use ceramic"
Questuion:
Which of the electrolytic capacitors and ceramic capacitors has the noise reduce effect?
A: both of them are the output filtering caps of the DCDC converter.
