Press-fit pins

There are press-fit pins in 6 pack SiC block.

What exact product to connect those pins to wire or PCB?

Is 5050462-2 will work for that?

If yes, how I solder it to PCB or wire?

In any part of receptacle pin? In front? In back?

Do you have some picture of design?

    Hi Pcholka,

I recommend that you reference our WolfPACK module family mounting guide here:

    https://assets.wolfspeed.com/uploads/2021/11/cpwr_an41_fm3_mounting_application_note.pdf

This module is intended to be pressed into a PCB directly without any socket or soldering required. This ensures low contact resistance between the pins and the board and is quick & simple to assemble in mass production. If you'd like to use a socket, we recommend the Stäubli BS-1 41.6019 or a Mill-Max 9359 receptacle. A socket is not recommended for use in the end application, but it can be a helpful tool during module validation or test fixturing.

For reference on how the socket can be implemented please see the Dynamic Characterization Evaluation Kit for this module here:

    Best Regards,

    Austin C.
