CRD-30DD12N-K reference design : TMS320F28377D vs TMS320F28377S

With respect to the reference design of CRD-30DD12N-K, I have a question on the control board.

The device of TMS320F28377D is employed as the DSP.

I wonder if TMS320F28377S can be used instead of TMS320F28377D for the control board.

They are pin-to-pin compatible devices.

I wonder if the dual cores of TMS320F28377D are all used for its control firmware.

If only the single core of TMS320F28377D is used for its control firmware, I suppose that TMS320F28377S may be able to be used instead of TMS320F28377D for the control board.

Hi GKIM,

TMS320F28377D is selected for the control board, while only CPU1 is used for this design. Yes, the TMS320F28377S is available for a pin to pin substitutes. The firmware is configured for 28377D, some includes files maybe need to edit if warnings or errors happen. Thanks!
