Hi Every one,

I have a query regarding the transformer (ATWPPQ656264A200P) winding that is used in the reference design of the 22kW Bi-directional High-Efficiency DC/DC Converter "https://www.wolfspeed.com/crd-22dd12n/.

What should be a way of winding placement on the bobbin,

  1. Option:

Half of the high-voltage winding

Full low-voltage winding

Half of the high-voltage winding

or

2. Option:

Full high-voltage winding

Full low-voltage winding

With proper Isolation between windings and core as per standards (in both cases)

Please suggested which option must be preferable and why?

Thanks

    Hi Pemendra,

We have the independent resonant choke there. To minimize the leakage inductance, the first one is better. Half of primary winding//secondary winding// Half of the primary

    Regards,

    Frank
