Copper/Aluminium Busbar
Hi,
I am doing some prototyping of busbars for the HM3 series modules, mainly looking at double pulse testing at the moment.
For prototyping would there be any specific concern about doing tests using aluminium bus-bar designs, rather than copper (asking as the prototyping costs for aluminium are much lower than copper so it gives more scope for experimentation).
Thanks in advance

Paul,
Given that you're only using the aluminum bussing to run double pulse tests I do not see any major concerns. If the goal is to check the losses of the module we offer an evaluation kit for double pulse testing (KIT-CRD-CIL12N-HM3).
If the scope of your testing increases beyond DPT testing you should consider if Al is still appropriate.
Thanks,
