Missing Err Loss data in diode

Hi,

I am simulink an inverter model with your SiC MOSFET Plecs Model (C3M0021120K), unfortually it seems there is no exact switching off Err data in your diode Plecs Model, regarding MOSFET Bodydiode or just the Schoktty diode(C4D20120A). All of them don't exist switching off data. But for the diode, Err is an essential characteristic of the circuit design.

Do you have any other diode Plecs Model containing Err, or can you please give m a formula to calculate Err of MOSFET Bodydiode(C3M0021120K)? It seems practical to provide a direct mathematical formula to calculate Err.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards

Joy

    Hi Joy,

We're currently aware of this limitation in our existing model portfolio and are presently working on a method to extend our models to more effectively capture this behavior. In the meantime, you could take a rough estimate of 10-15% of Eon for the reverse recovery. You'll have to input these values as switching energy at a negative current during the turn-off loss (shown below):

Let me know if you have any more questions!

    Thanks,

    Zack
