Soldering Recommendation for CAB006A12GM3

Hello, if I wish to have larger holes in my PCB rather than use the Press-FiT feature for my CAB006AGM3 module, what soldering technique will you recommend? What should the soldering process look like.

My PCB would contain three of these Modules (Multi-Module Arrangement).

Kindly advise.

    Hi Daniel,

Since our Wolfpack modules are offered only as a press-fit pin variant, we have not done any detailed analysis of the solderability of our pins. Common wave soldering profiles may be applied (subject to the limits described below), but the suitability of the guidance to the particular module + PCB + heatsink combination should be verified by the customer.

The Wolfpack modules may be preheated to a max. temperature of 125C. The soldering temperature should not exceed 260C and a time of 10 sec max. It is also recommended to use a no-clean flux for soldering the power module pins to the PCB since aqueous module cleaning is not allowed. The module is not hermetically sealed so ionic contaminants may enter inside the module if aqueous module cleaning is used after soldering.
