How to properly connect Tj and Tc for LTspice simulation of C6D10170H — Wolfspeed Power Applications Forum

I am finding that in LTspice, my simulations will not converge if the Tj and Tc pins for two separate devices (using C2M0080120D) are connected to the same Voltage Source.

The simulation runs quickly if the Tj pin on each device U1 and U2 are attached to separate voltage sources.

This is exactly opposite to how I was instructed in the linked thread above, So I just want to clarify for other people attempting to use these models, that the devices need to be on independent sources.

Picture Tj_1 - simulation does not run

Picture Tj_2 - Simulation runs because now Tj pins are on separate sources.

Thanks,

Leo

    Hi Leo,

I will look into this issue. Did you try reproducing this problem with another MOSFET model? Most of our models should have no issue with a common Tj/Tc-source. I'll follow-up with you once I've had time to verify on this model (C2M0080120D).

    Thanks,

    Zack
