Difference between HAS and
Currently we are using HAS300M12BM3 in our prototype. As this type is not recommended for new designs we want to flip to HAS530M12BM3. Lower Ron would improve the usage of the converter. However, I am struggling to find out what is the difference between HAS530M12BM3 and WAS530M12BM3. Is there are an easy explanation?

Andreas,
You are correct the WAB300M12BM3 is not recommended for new designs. The HAS530M12BM3 expands on the capabilities of the WAS530M12BM3 by adding compliance to EN45545-2 and a CTI of > 600 to match the WAB300M12BM3. The HAS module is targeted for the harshest environments and railway applications.
Thanks,
-Paul
