Hi,

I use a multimeter to measure the voltage drop of the circuit on both sides of CAB760M12HM3, and there is no voltage display on the multimeter, is it normal?

And is it possible to measure the pressure drop with a multimeter of PN CAB760M12HM3?

Thanks,

Suri

    Hi SuriChen,

A hand-held multimeter cannot accurately measure the on-state resistance of an HM3 power module. The resistance in the multimeter's leads is typically higher than the resistance of the module. A µΩ-meter with a separate force & sense connection is necessary for measuring the resistance of the module.

It is possible to perform a quick health check with a multimeter to confirm that the module is functional. You can apply +15 V to the gate & source pins to turn the device on and make sure that there is a low resistance or Short condition between the power terminals, and then apply -4 V to the gate & source pins to turn the device off and measure either high resistance or an Open condition at the power terminals.

    Best Regards,

    Austin C.
