Troubleshooting Connection Issues with NXP Control Card PC-Based GUI for SpeedVal Kit
I have purchased the following components:
Wolfspeed Motherboard: MOD-MB-HB-0900V-40A
Wolfspeed Power Card: MOD-PWR-MM-C3M0016120K
Texas Instruments Gate Driver Card: UCC21750QDWEVM-054
Texas Instruments Controller Card: TMDSCNCD280039C
After configuring and building the MPPT connection and selecting the correct COM port, I attempted to use the NXP control card PC-based GUI for the SpeedVal Kit. However, I am unable to establish a connection; the connection indicator in the GUI does not turn green.
How can I troubleshoot or resolve this issue?

Greetings:
You mentioned that you purchased the TI controller card but then you said you attempted to use the NXP controller card. The NXP and the TI controller cards each have their own firmware which must be downloaded and flashed before you can connect to the GUI.
The flash instructions and firmware are all available from the Speedval website linked below.

Dear Julius,
Thank you for your reply. I have already downloaded the firmware, and it has resolved my issue. However, I have another question regarding the inverter. Is it possible to test the inverter in the GUI, similar to how we test the MPPT in the GUI?

Single-phase and three-phase inverter modes are both supported by the three-phase motherboard (MOD-MB-3P-0900V-40A-N) and they can be controlled through the GUI.

Dear Julius,
I’m using the MOD-MB-3P-0900V-40A-N motherboard, which supports single-phase and three-phase inverter modes. However, I can only see the MPPT circuit in the GUI and cannot find any inverter settings. Could you guide me on where to access the inverter controls on GUI?
Thanks in advance for your help!

Greetings:
Are you certain you have the 3P board? Your original post has the part number for the half bridge version. which doesn't support inverter mode. Inverter mode is currently only supported by the NXP control card (HVP-56F83783).
