I would like to know if anyone knows the mounting machine that can be used for the modules with press fit pins.

I have already contacted the relevant manufacturers, but all of them stated that the fixtures need to be made by ourselves. I would like to know if there are any machines that can be directly used for press-fitting this product. Meanwhile, could you recommend some machines with reasonable prices?

    jin,

The tool used to apply force for the press-in process will vary based on your design and build quantity. I would personally group them into three categories:

    • A higher-end system, such as the TA.HDplusC Texture Analyser from Stable Micro Systems, which is what we use internally for development work, or the LPM3 mini Press Fit Machine Solution from Nextron. These have a wide force range and provide good control and feedback. These systems will likely be one of the more expensive options.
    • A mid-range system, such as an arbor press. Certain models are available with force sensors to provide you with some feedback during the press-in process. These will require some effort to properly align the module/PCB and you will have some limitations in terms of room to maneuver the system.
    • A lower-end system, such as a book press. These should be extremely affordable. These will require significant effort to properly align the module/PCB and you will have limited room to maneuver the system. I have attached slides detailing how this may be used for preliminary evaluation work.

Regardless of what you use to apply force; it is important to ensure that the press-in process is smooth and that you can apply force within the limits of the module. Further details may be found in our WolfPACK™ Mounting Instructions and PCB Requirements document.

We also recommend using our standard press-in tooling, which I can send to your registered email if you know which module you’ll be using.

Please let us know if you have further questions. Thanks!

I wonder where to get the Metal (Aluminum) press-in tool and Plastic (PETG) board support.

You give me a pdf in your last answers, and it recommend a Book Press.I want to know if the book press is enough for our university lab.We use this device to carry out the engineering projects undertaken by our teacher.

    jin,

Yes, we have different sizes of press-in tools for our press-fit modules (the F and G modules have different case sizes). The book press should suffice for low-volume prototype work.

It looks like the module you're using is not made by Wolfspeed. I would reach out to the manufacturer for their recommendation on press in and pricing details.

    jin,

You may also be interested in the CHB011M12GM4, which is a similar module from Wolfspeed.

If you intend to use another manufacturer's module, then I would reach out to them for specific recommendations regarding press fit tools for their package.

I've reviewed this module, but its current rating doesn't meet my requirements. Therefore, I'll probably need to continue using the module I mentioned earlier.Thank you so much for your help.It is so nice of you to offer help.I am really confused.
