CAB5R0A23GM4 power dissipation
What does the power dissipation of 710 W of CAB5R0A23GM4 mentioned in the datasheet represent? Is it the total loss of both the switch or the loss of one switch which means the total loss that the package can handle is 1420 W?

Hi Aradhyas,
The Power Dissipation rating, PD, on the first page of Wolfspeed datasheets is the calculated maximum power loss of one switch position. So depending on the topology, yes, you would multiply this value by the number of switch positions within the module.
Please note that the PD rating is determined when putting power into only one switch position at a time, so the total power dissipation of the module will not be exactly double (for a half-bridge). There will be some derating necessary due to overlapping heat dissipation from both switch positions.
Best Regards,
Austin C.

Does that mean, each switch of the Half bridge module can handle close to 700 W and the junction temperature of both the switches will be less than 175 C.
