ECB2R1M12YM3L - Cooling Circuit Pressure

ECB2R1M12YM3L 1200 V SiC Power Module Data Sheet | Wolfspeed

I'm looking to use the ECB2R1M12YM3L 1200V SiC Power Module for a design and have a couple questions on the cooling circuit:

  1. The datasheet lists the maximum pressure of the cooling circuit as 2.5 bar. Is this a proof or burst limit?
  2. If I stay below 2.5bar, can we expect the module to operate without degradation?
  3. If possible, I would like to request test results or the test spec used to arrive at the max pressure conclusion.

Thank you

    Good afternoon, Chris,

Thank you for reaching out. Regarding your questions on the ECB2R1M12YM3L cooling circuit pressure:

    1. The 2.5 bar max listed in the datasheet refers to proof pressure.
    2. No degradation is expected if you operate below the rated pressure. There will be a negligible elastic deformation up to the 2.5 bar rating.
    3. The performed pressure test cycled 0-3 bar at the inlet and found no leakage after 150k cycles.

Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thank you.
