CRD25DA12N-FMC-AFE Firmware and GUI
Hello
Regarding the CRD25DA12N-FMC reference design, I have added CRD25DA12N-FMC-AFE-BOOST and CRD25DA12N-FMC-AFE-EMI, and I intend to use it as a 25kW rectifier with the TMDSCNCD280039C control card. At this point, what modifications do I need to make to the firmware and GUI you provided? If modifications are required, could you provide a detailed explanation on how to proceed? I have little experience in this area and would greatly appreciate your guidance!

Hello Stephen,
We provide the firmware for the CRD25DA12N-FMC inverter with a direct link on the website landing page. The Active Front End (AFE) hardware is shown as a demonstration for how the inverter can be easily modified to support other applications. As you already indicated, all the hardware design files for both these design are already available for download on the website landing pages for the designs (CRD25DA12N-FMC-AFE).
For proper use, the AFE requires locking onto the 480V grid frequency. Unlike the inverter, the AFE must be operated closed loop which requires ABC/DQ0 transformations. This all needs to be performed in the Control Law Accelerator (CLA) of the controller in order to ensure enough compute resources. All our testing has been performed in very controlled environments, with isolation from the grid. We unfortunately do not plan to provide or support the firmware for this design at this time.
Thanks,
Chris N.
